Lakeside Man Killed in San Diego County SUV Rollover Single Car Accident

Lakeside Auto Accident Lawyers – In yet another SUV roll over accident, a Valley Center gentleman died  67 on Sunday.  According to the California Highway Patrol, the 49-year-old was driving a 1994 Jeep Cherokee when it went off the highway just north of Slaughterhouse Canyon Road.  The Sport Utility Vehicle went onto a soft shoulder and was heading for a call box when the driver over corrected and the Cherokee flipped.

The SUV ended up on its wheels and the man was wearing a seat belt.  Unfortunately the SUV’s roof caved in and caused severe head injuries leasing to the mans death.

As San Diego Car Accident Attorneys, we see SUV rollovers that result in serious injury or death in San Diego County way too often.  While we do not know the exact details why the roof collapsed in this particular case, it all too common that the roofs cave in SUV rollovers.    What we do know is that the man was wearing his seatbelt and did not collide with another vehicle.  Nevertheless, he did not survive because the structure of the vehicle did not survive the rollover.

Our hearts go out to the family of the victim.  The loss of life is always sad as is the burden and toll it takes on those left behind.
